For decades this American has give us big moments of jazz; with a melodic and genuinely feminine voice she sings themes that already wanted some.
After publishing 7 “best sellers” album, to gain prizes as the British Jazz Award of 2001, the BBC Jazz Award of 2002, that of Better Vocalist of Backstage Bistro Award of 2004 and that of Better Album of the Year together with Jim Tomlinson (his producer, musician and husband) for The Lyric in 2006, it gives us a new disc: Raconte-moi, a collection of 12 themes sung in French. The whole audacity for an artist who grew in New Jersey and Colorado, but that already on her previous disc (Breakfast on the Morning Tram) was interpreting two compositions of one of the big teachers of the French song: Serge Gainsbourg.
We invite you to hear her because it is a pleasure.
