What a duo!

The indie has new kings: Kings of Convenience, a Norwegian group that mixes the guitar, touches of piano and other string tricks. The result: indie – pop music that has revolutioned the musical actuality.

Erlend Oye and Eirik Glambek Boe have been friends for a lot of years, so many that when they were 17 created, with some other friends, a group called SKOG (that means FOREST) with that they managed to record an EP. This time passed, and in 1999 and officially as a duo they signed with an independen record. They move to London and started being employed at their first album: Quiet is the New Loud. From tat moment everything changed in their lives, successes came and even solitarily projects.

The 3rd of their works as a group, Riot on an Empty Street, has a great collaboration with one of our favourite singers: Feist, who we already introduce you a few time ago, do you remember her? The last disc is named Declaration of Dependence, and is the story of two people living two very different lives sensing that they are immensely more powerful together than apart. In that sense it is the most adult, the most mature record Kings of Convenience have ever made. It’s simply incredible, you can’t lose it!
