Our Mission Statement
Environmental policy
Via its business model, Oysho wants to help the sustainable development of society and the environment in which it interacts. The commitment to the Environment is included in the Corporate Liability policy of the Inditex group, published in the website: www.inditex.com.
These are some of the objectives and actions developed within the environmental commitment:
We save energy. The eco-efficient store.
We are developing an “eco-efficient” shop-management model which allow us to reduce energy consumption by integrating sustainability and efficiency criteria.
We reduce the amount of waste and recycle.
Recycling of hangers or alarms, which are collected in store and processed for conversion into other plastic items, is an example of the waste management. Millions of hangers and alarms are processed every year. In addition, the cardboard and plastic used in packaging are recycled.
We share our commitment with all our staff. An aware workforce.
Internal communication campaigns and specific multimedia training plans to inform employees on sustainable practices such as rationalising energy consumption, using sustainable transport or changing habits.
We manufacture PVC-free footwear.
No non-biodegradeable, petroleum derivatives are used in the manufacture of our footwear.
Oysho collection catalogue and lookbooks.
The Oysho collection catalogues that appear on these pages are made up exclusively of photographs and models from international specialised agencies subject to strict personal protection laws. Model selection is never done publicly or through social networks.
Animal Welfare Policy.
All animal products, including leather and suede, sold in our stores come from animals bred for food and are never from animals slaughtered solely for the sale of their skin.
