The volcanic minerals absorb the far infrared from the human body faster than ordinary insulation and convert it into thermal energy storage. This jacket has been tested to withstand temperatures from +14ºC (low activity) to -6ºC (moderate activity) during a standardised test with simulated wind of 0.4m/s wearing a long-sleeved high-neck T-shirt, trousers, briefs, socks, shoes, gloves and a knit hat.
